Figures below are copied from EBC standard 10.5E, 15 September 2025, Table 2. Heavy metals are in grams per tonne. FeedPlus lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic are printed on an 88% dry-matter basis. Every other metal figure on this page is printed on a dry-matter basis. This sheet does not convert one basis into the other.
| Gate | EBC-FeedPlus | EBC-AgroOrganic | EBC-Agro | EBC-Urban |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| H/Corg | less than 0.4 | less than 0.7 | less than 0.7 | less than 0.7 |
| O/Corg | aim below 0.4 | aim below 0.4 | aim below 0.4 | aim below 0.4 |
| Lead | 5 on 88% DM | 45 DM | 120 DM | 120 DM |
| Cadmium | 0.5 on 88% DM | 0.7 DM | 1.5 DM | 1.5 DM |
| Copper | 70 DM | 70 DM | 100 DM | 100 DM |
| Nickel | 25 DM | 25 DM | 50 DM | 50 DM |
| Mercury | 0.1 on 88% DM | 0.4 DM | 1 DM | 1 DM |
| Zinc | 200 DM | 200 DM | 400 DM | 400 DM |
| Chromium | 70 DM | 70 DM | 90 DM | 90 DM |
| Arsenic | 2 on 88% DM | 13 DM | 13 DM | 13 DM |
Equal to a heavy-metal limit is still within the printed line, because the standard says the limit must not be exceeded. Equal to the H/Corg line is over, because the ratio must be less than that line.
For EBC-AgroOrganic and EBC-Agro, the standard says a copper or zinc figure over the printed limit can be overruled only when the lot is labeled and traded as a micronutrient fertilizer. EBC-Urban uses the same metal numbers as EBC-Agro. The micronutrient sentence does not name EBC-Urban, so this sheet does not offer that note there.
16 EPA PAH is printed as 6±2.4 g/t dry matter for FeedPlus, AgroOrganic, and Agro, and as a declaration for Urban. The tolerance band is ambiguous, so PAH is not a pass or fail gate on this sheet.
EBC-BasicMaterials has no heavy-metal limit in this standard, declaration only. It is not a class in the lot sheet, so an empty limit is never treated as a pass.
