The sheet compares numbers you type with selected gates printed in EBC standard 10.5E. It is an independent reading aid. It is not a certificate, not an endorsement, not a permit, and not a laboratory. Carbon Standards International owns the European Biochar Certificate standard. Biochar Trade is not that body.
You are responsible for the figures you enter and for the basis those figures already use. The sheet does not convert an 88% dry-matter figure into a dry-matter figure, or the reverse. If the laboratory report and this sheet disagree, the laboratory report and the official standard govern.
Country annexes can set stricter limits. Those annexes are not gates in this sheet. Do not use the sheet as the only check before a sale, a delivery, or a regulatory filing.
The sheet is provided as it is, without a warranty that a comparison is complete or current. Standards change. The citation on the Sources page names the edition these gates were taken from.
